Easily accessible from Toledo and Detroit near US-12 in Clinton, Michigan, SMRS offers a variety of passenger train tours between the towns of Clinton and Tecumseh, Michigan. The railroad crosses the River Raisin twice as it winds its way through scenic countryside from Clinton to the Railroad's southernmost terminal at Raisin Center. Train tours are offered through the late spring and fall seasons with holiday trips available.  Tours can be reserved on Thursdays and Saturdays for special events.

SMRS reserves the right to change equipment, route or schedules due to inclement weather or mechanical failures. The Society is not responsible for lost or damaged personal belongings. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Summer Tours
Take a tour through the Michigan countryside on one of our summer tours available on Saturdays from May - September.

Special Events Tours
Enjoy one of our Sunday Special tours for Mother's Day (May), Father's Day (June), and Crazy Hat Weekend (August).

Fall Tours

Enjoy the Clinton Fall Festival in September on Clinton's own historic railway.  View the changing colors of maples and oaks with the Fall Color Tours held every weekend in October.

Holiday Tours
Join us in honoring our veterans with a Veterans Day trip in November or celebrate the season with a ride on our specially decorated holiday train in December.

Contact the Southern Michigan Railroad Society Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.  The Railroad Museum is open on Saturdays from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm during the regular season from mid-May through late September.
